Jamie West is a British musician from South London.
Jamie West is a singer/songwriter from London, England. In 2009 he won the first Young Busker of the Year competition. Judged by a panel of industry experts, he was presented the award by the Mayor for London, Boris Johnson, at the music venues Indigo2 in the 02 arena.
==Biography==
West performed with his band in and around the London Olympics.
After the London riots of 2011, West wrote the EP ''Put Your Love Letters Up''. He also covered a Whitney Houston track ''I Wanna Dance With Somebody'' which was recorded just before her death and released just after. He also released 2 music videos for the title track and cover on the EP.
His debut album ''Walking In The Movies'' was created in 2010 and released the next year.
In 2009 he became London's first "Busker of the Year" in a competition organised by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson as part of the Rhythm of London festival.
He released his debut single "Give Me Everything You Got", with London-based label Polymorph Records on 19 July 2010.
